Yes, try to get that title on a cover, readable! It was my first ever book cover design, I had so much fun making it, also because of the cute illustrations, just a delight to look at, and I fell in love with the story immediately. It's a charming sweet little book about a skater, Paul, who bumps up against a bird and by accident breaks the bird's leg. Paul takes the bird home to take care of him. This is the beginning of an extraordinary friendship. Marion de Man who made the illustratons for this book was inspired by a photo in the newspaper of an oyster with a splinted leg. Later it turned out the photo was taken by the famous Dutch writer and painter Jan Wolkers, who splinted the bird's leg himself. Buy it here. Zee on the westcoast of the Netherlands, it has been troubled by wildfires.. large parts of the beautiful dunes have been destroyed...
